Guide to Pillaring
How to Pillar
Switch off between a Down-Air, L-cancelled into a shine, and then repeat by SHFFLing another Down Air. This can be mixed up with multishines and waveshines.
Pillaring's Uses
Pillaring is used a lot in high-level play, and for a good reason. Pillaring can pressure an opponent in a shield, forcing them to roll out of it, which can be chased. It is possible to be shield-grabbed, but it requires very good timing.
Technicalites
Of course, like other combos, Pillaring can be influenced by DI (Directional Influence). If one is not quick enough, one's opponent can escape this combo.
Strategies
Against Fox in particular, Pillaring is very effective. An example of how it would be used: Shine the Fox, Wavedash out of it quickly, then short-hop ADA the Fox, and repeat.
