Stomach Attack (お腹を突き出, Stomach Protruding) is a special move used by King K. Rool. When used, K. Rool will puff out his stomach and reflect any damage onto the opponent. It works like a counterattack.
Origin
While this move doesn't seem to have a specific origin, K. Rool is seen using his big frame to attack by bouncing on his stomach in Donkey Kong Land. This also inspired his dash attack. It could also come from the fact that, originally, King K. Rool's belly was originally going to be body armor. [citation needed] And the move's animation is similar to that of some enemies in Donkey Kong Country, such as Krushas, who resist Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong's stomp attacks.
