Giga Bowser
For the trophy, see Giga Bowser (trophy)
Giga Bowser (ギガクッパ, Giga Kuppa, Giga Koopa in the Japanese version) is a gargantuan version of Bowser. To fight him, you must clear Adventure Mode on Normal or higher in 18 minutes or less. Then he'll appear after you defeat Bowser. Defeat him without using a continue and you get the Giga Bowser trophy. He also appears in Event 51: The Showdown. Some things that separate Giga Bowser from Bowser are:
- Approximately 1.7 times larger
- Infinite flame breath
- More height gained from Fortress
- Cannot be grabbed
- Forward tilt sets opponent on fire
- Down smash freezes opponent
- Forward smash creates a large explosion
- Neutral aerial electrocutes opponent
Giga Bowser has been confirmed for a return appearance in the upcoming sequel Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Unlike in melee, he won't be an extra boss but rather a Final Smash for Bowser. Also unlike Melee (without Action Replay) he is completely playable till the player's time as him is out. He is effectively invinible from any attacks and will be one of the happenings that cause A.I. computers to flee (like the Hammer or grabbing the Starman in Melee & SSB 64). Sakurui's only advice to players dealing against him is to attack the other players while they are fleeing themselves.
Beating Giga Bowser
Falco
Giga Bowser is a pushover when playing as Falco. simply roll to the side and get that blaster to work. It won't slow his advance much but the damage will rack up. When he's getting near you, double jump above his head and use your Bird Fire (B+up) but remember to aim downwards at him. After hitting him roll away quickly to the other side and repeat this process until you win.
Jigglypuff
Just float around a lot, then use the Rest move whenever you get close enough.
