Hi there!Edit
Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.
- Recent changes is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
- Please sign in, if you haven't already, and create a user name! It's free, and it'll help you keep track of all your edits. See SmashWiki:Why create an account? for more info on creating an account.
- Questions? You can ask at the Help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
- Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.
I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!
Archives and Sigs and stuffEdit
I'm just going to assume that you are very new here, regardless of when you actually created your account. A few basic things you should know involve archives and signatures. When you sign, type out ~~~~. This gives us a proper link to your user page and stuff like that. Do not manually type out the signature. As for archives, don't edit archives unless it has some recent discussion on it. Even then, you generally shouldn't edit the archive unless the discussion was actually important. Using Show PreviewEdit
Hello, Toadat9021doh, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep Recent Changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, RickTommy (talk) 19:00, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
SmashWiki is not just Smash ArenaEdit
Hi, I've looked through your contributions, and in over the six months you've been here, you made a total of 18 constructive edits (with your last constructive edit being made over five months ago), which is nearly one fifth of the amount of edits you made to Smash Arena and its suggestions forum. Continue your excessive focus on Smash Arena, and you will risk being put on probation. Omega Tyrant 22:06, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
The "weapon" typeEdit
As much as it's appreciated that you're trying to fix things that look wrong, none of your recent changes are correct despite making sense; we know this because I have a database of all Weapon hitboxes in the game and exactly what subtypes they are. A heads upEdit
Hi, we recently decided that with results on Smasher pages, we want to start listing the amount of entrants each tournament had in addition to the player's placement, as well as denote majors by bold text and supermajors by bold + italic text. Refer to our guidelines for how it should be formatted. Any results you add to the wiki from now should abide to this, even if it's currently inconsistent with how the rest of the results on someone's page is displayed (though we would also appreciate people doing this for already listed results too, since it's work that cannot be relegated to bots).
