OverviewEdit
Mario winds his arm up, then performs a delayed overhead clobber with his fist. The main and only use of this move is for edgeguarding, as it is practically useless otherwise: it has 26 frames of landing lag and doesn't autocancel in a short hop, leading to the move being -22 on shield at best. In addition, the move is weak enough to where it will never lead to an on-stage KO.
Despite its best use for being edgeguarding, even this is not recommended. The move's sweet spot doesn't come out until frame 17 and lasts for a measly 3 frames (half the move's active frames). In addition, the move's duration is an entire second, making it risky to use and punishable if it whiffs. Landing the sweet spot doesn't reward Mario all that much either, due to the aforementioned weakness, leading to it being unable to kill until over 100% when meteor cancelling is taken into consideration.
Despite the move being considered terrible by many, it still sees occasional use by Mario players in Brawl, due to his overall terrible KO power.
