should be moved to Category:Game controls per MoS, since "controls" is not a proper nown. Do you think you could get XL on that? SerpentKing 02:27, 29 December 2016 (EST)
I've been having trouble getting XL to connect to the wiki and I don't yet know why. My best guess is a wiki upgrade is making things different than expected. I hope to fix it soon (two/three days), might have to reinstall PyWikiBot from scratch or something. ToomaiGlittershine The Honcho 10:49, 29 December 2016 (EST)
Got it fixed; it's going now. ToomaiGlittershine The Sphere 14:16, 31 December 2016 (EST)
Cool, thanks! SerpentKing 17:54, 31 December 2016 (EST)
Hitbox Info
Hi, CpnFlacon again. No questions this time, but I just wanted you to know that over the next couple of weeks I'll be uploading all of the data into the moves pages. So if you or any of the admins are looking through the recent changes and see a bunch of new moves pages created by me, that's why. CpnFlacon (talk) 11:13, 12 January 2017 (EST)
Don't forget to keep the {{technical data}} tag if you've added hitboxes but not frame timings. ToomaiGlittershine The Aurum 21:51, 12 January 2017 (EST)
Disaster Flare said to just put the {{competitive expertise}} tag on all of them, and that would encompass the need for a description and frame timings. Do you want me to put both? Also, I'm running into a few missing angle icons. If I remember correctly you're the one who makes those? CpnFlacon (talk) 13:50, 15 January 2017 (EST)
The way I see it, it's about what kind of knowledge you need to enter the info - frame data is more of a technical subject than descriptions and meta details. I would put both if both are missing.
I do upload necessary angle icons as I notice them. ToomaiGlittershine The Keymaster 06:54, 16 January 2017 (EST)
MvSubNav Formatting
We have recently run into a question about how the pages linked in these templates should be formatted. The templates have separate links for the special move and the default version of the move. I was wondering if you felt the default page should redirect to the special page, or if the special page should act as an overview and the default/customs pages should be where the move-specific technical data goes. CpnFlacon (talk) 16:28, 19 January 2017 (EST)
So the character's Special/Default should redirect to the main special page. Am I understanding that correctly? CpnFlacon (talk) 16:51, 21 January 2017 (EST)
If you're doing it as a redirect, then the [/X special] page should redirect to the [/X special/Default] page. ToomaiGlittershine The Producer 08:42, 22 January 2017 (EST)
Understood. How should the neutral attacks be formatted/redirected, since many characters have multiple hits? Should [/Neutral attack] just redirect to [/Neutral attack/Hit 1]? CpnFlacon (talk) 14:55, 22 January 2017 (EST)
For any attack composed of multiple parts, like neutral combos, Link's f-smash, or Dancing Blade, make a page for each hit as well as a page for the attack overall. See Mario (SSBB)/Neutral attack. ToomaiGlittershine Le Grand Fromage 06:50, 23 January 2017 (EST)
Maybe you can help me
Normally, I'd be logged in as this user, but for some reason it's saying that I can't log back in. Something about my connection to this site being "not secure"; this site is also giving me this message:
There seems to be a problem with your login session; this action has been canceled as a precaution against session hijacking. Go back to the previous page, reload that page and then try again.
It's working fine on my phone, but not on my computer. You got any suggestions for what I can do? 166.127.1.193 15:13, 30 January 2017 (EST)
I'm not really sure. I'm assuming you're already tried stuff like closing/reopening whatever browser you're using? Maybe try manually going to Special:UserLogout or Special:UserLogin. ToomaiGlittershine The Altruistic 06:28, 31 January 2017 (EST)
Closing the window does nothing, closing Chrome completely does nothing; Special:UserLogin no longer gives me an error message, but it doesn't log me in. I still have a "not secure" notification from my URL area, despite the SmashWiki being marked as secure. 166.127.1.199 13:03, 31 January 2017 (EST)
Maybe try a different browser? SerpentKing 13:23, 31 January 2017 (EST)
Well, it works for Internet Explorer, the only other web browser I have access to on my school computer. I even tried logging in on another computer through Chrome at my school just to make sure it wasn't just my school, and it worked there too. I'm not quite sure what the problem is. Aidan, the Lovely Dragon Warrior 18:14, 31 January 2017 (EST)
Oh this is a message from Chrome and not the wiki itself? Yeah, according to other NIWA members, Chrome has decided to stop supporting any login page that doesn't use HTTPS. Yell at Porplemontage until he fixes it. ToomaiGlittershine The Ghostbuster 06:26, 1 February 2017 (EST)
(reset indent) Well, I would, if I couldn't log on through Chrome on other computers. My own Mac at home and other computers here at my school have logged me on just fine with Chrome. 166.127.1.192 09:04, 2 February 2017 (EST)
Rename Request
I want to change my current username to "Ik0zael" since I've done so on other websites to distinguish from my new and old username.
