Plup is a smasher from Florida, who is considered to be one of the best Melee Sheik players and arguably the best Samus player in the world. He has had strong placings in recent nationals, particularly in doubles, where he has teamed with Hungrybox to great success. He is currently ranked 2nd on the Central Florida Melee Power Rankings and 7th on the 2015 SSBMRank.

After Apex 2015, Plup has officially made the switch from Samus to maining Sheik, while still using Samus as an occasional counterpick.

Plup is also a professional Project M Samus player, and also plays Meta Knight and Sheik occasionaly in both singles and doubles, and took 1st place in CEO 2014 Project M doubles with fellow Florida smasher Wizzrobe.

Trivia

  • Plup has an even record against Leffen (2-2). Ironically, despite switching his main from Samus to Sheik due to her higher tier list placement, Plup has only been able to defeat Leffen with his Samus, first at Paragon Orlando 2015 and then a second time at EVO 2015, where as he lost to Leffen with his Sheik at CEO 2015 and Eclipse (using a combination of Sheik and Samus at the latter).
  • Plup forgot to receive his medal on stage with the other top 8 finishers at Evo 2015.
  • Plup is known for wearing goofy hats at tournaments such as his Spongebob hat and Panda hat.
  • Plup has taken at least 1 set off of each of the members of the top 6 except for Armada. He defeated Leffen at Paragon Orlando 2015, Hungrybox at CFL Smackdown Monthly 9, Mango at EVO 2015, PPMD at Smash Summit, and Mew2King at Battle of the Five Gods.
