How feasible is it to use XL to convert [[interwiki:string|string]] into {{s|interwiki|string}}? A lot of pages have these still hanging around, and some (like List of stickers (complete list)) would be egregiously tedious to do manually. Miles (talk) 17:36, 7 December 2015 (EST)

The problem with this is that XL can't tell what's an interwiki link and what's a namespace link because they use the same syntax. I'm not currently sure if there's a way to deal with that without doing one pass for each interwiki prefix (which is probably not a good idea). That said, it may be possible to create a list of pages where we can assume every such link is interwiki, and tell it to only work on that list.
