Cloud (クラウド, Cloud) is an upcoming playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced during the November 12th, 2015 Nintendo Direct.

Known moveset

 
  • Cross-slash:
  • Omnislash:A trapping series of slashes similar implied to be Cloud's Final Smash
  • Climhazzard:A high slash upwards used as a recovery move
  • Blade Beam
  • A sword lunge horizontally above Cloud's head
  • Two consecutive low stabs back and forth
  • A temporary stat boost move

  • Cloud's pose in his official artwork is identical his pose from his official artwork from Final Fantasy VII.
  • Cloud is the second DLC character to represent a newly-added series to SSB4.
  • Cloud's reveal trailer references moments and characters from the original Final Fantasy VII.
    • In Cloud Strife's reveal trailer, Zelda portrays Aerith the flower girl, a playable character from Final Fantasy VII, and the fact that Zelda is holding a Lip's Stick which bears a resemblance to the flowers Aerith sold in Final Fantasy VII. The segment also references Final Fantasy VII scene Cloud falls from the Sector 5 Reactor down into the church and is found by Aeris.
    • Cloud fighting Ike towards the end is a reference to the final battle in Cloud's mind between Cloud and Sephiroth.
    • The Sablé Prince turning into a frog next to Cloud is a reference to the reoccurring Toad spell, which transforms its targets into harmless frogs.
