Final Smash | Puff Up |
Jigglypuff is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4, as confirmed by a leaker's Twitch stream. It retains Puff Up as its Final Smash. Its model has been updated to match recent appearances, notably Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. It is, like most other characters, more expressive than in previous iterations. It has brighter, more cyan colored eyes, which are also much smaller than in previous iterations and farther apart from each other, and a wider, higher-positioned mouth.
How To Unlock
- Collect 30 different equipment items.
- Play 120 VS Matches.
Changes from Brawl
Jigglypuff has been buffed from Brawl, although not quite back to its strength from Melee.
- Neutral attack and up tilt have been sped up.
- Up tilt, forward tilt, down throw and up throw do 1% more damage.
- Neutral air, back aerial, up smash and back throw deal 1% more damage and have more knockback.
- Forward throw seems to have strengthened, deals 1% more damage and has slightly shorter endlag.
- Dash grab is less laggy.
- Charging Rollout can be stopped.
- However, it deals much less damage and knockback.
- Rest is significantly more powerful and can now be combo-ed into reliably.
- Dash attack has less ending lag and is stronger.
- Back aerial is drastically more powerful to the point where it can reliably KO under 120%.
- Because of this, it loses some of its Wall of pain ability.
- Pound deals more shield damage.
- Pound has lost some of its momentum, losing some its horizontal recovery
- Forward air does less damage.
- Now uses its other arm to Pummel, instead of its hair curl.
- Its eyes are now blue instead of green, thus resembling it more like its appearance in the Pokemon series.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS trophy descriptions
- Jigglypuff
- This Normal/Fairy-type Pokémon is best known for its soothing singing, which can put foes to sleep. In Smash Bros., it fights best in the air and can even jump six times in a row. The downside, though, is that Jigglypuff's so light, most opponents could launch it in their sleep!
- Jigglypuff (All-Star)
- Jigglypuff's down special Rest sends this Pokémon into a deep sleep that damages and launches any foe it's touching upon napping. They'll even take damage after being hit! It's a pretty challenging move to land, though, and it leaves Jigglypuff wide open to revenge. Be careful when you use it.
