Eh, I never owned the original, therefore it'd be lying if I said I liked the original Pikachu more. And Meta Knight is broken, but he's still a fighter. And I like playing around with him sometimes, despite not being my main. So if I get the original I'll probably like Pikachu more, but for now, I'll vote for the under-dog. I usually like a lot of the banned stages. Green Greens, though, is just annoying with all the bomb blocks getting in the way, and I like the simplicity of Dream Land 64.
