The two arsenal-toting adventurers of legend are back. While one fights at close range and the other prefers distances, they aren't exactly slouches in the other's department, and they both have the tools to cleave through enemy forces like paper. How will this tiebreaker end?

I'm not much of a Zelda fan, but I shall vote Link. I just like his good attack power folks. Scoring KO's as Samus (and Sonic for that matter), let alone win the match, can and will be such a pain. 67.166.229.4 14:57, 1 December 2012 (EST)

She has the greatest taunts in the game. Seriously. You jump multiple tiers with it. And you get items. Fugudev 00:00, 1 December 2012 (EST)
Samus' arsenal is more impressive, plus I'm more familiar with her games. Super Smash Bros.-wise, while Link is better at killing, Samus is a little more versatile and more of her attacks are executed faster. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 02:09, 1 December 2012 (EST)
I like Samus much, much better than Link. Of course, if this was Toon Link vs. Samus, that would be another story. AirConditioner Helter skelter! 08:26, 1 December 2012 (EST)

Who said this had to be brawl Samus? After all, that's just a picture. While both Link and Samus are viable in Melee (being lenient on the definition of viable), Samus is a much better characters having an infinitely better recovery and zoning abilities. Those missiles are so very annoying. She is really hard to edgeguard; even Marth has to work for those gimps. Link dies after 1 down tilt. But if you kiddies must insist on talking about brawl, Samus still wins. She has a high tier counterpart with items to start the match as well as a long glide toss to complement them. The low tier Samus is still higher than Link on the tier list for many of the same reasons that Melee Samus outplaces Melee Link.--BrianDon't try me! 18:40, 2 December 2012 (EST)
I don't actually care but Link's 2nd half-vote made me choose Samus.68.115.61.130 12:31, 5 December 2012 (EST)

Midair stadium is a boring version of Final Destination. Instead of flying through galaxies, we get a poorly rendered crowd. Well, in Pokemon's case it also has a poorly rendered crowded but a dynamic stage. --Havoc48 >:D!!! 12:09, 8 December 2012 (EST)

All I can say is that this stage brings back memories. SmashMaster 15:16, 8 December 2012 (EST)
In the era of Ken, this stage was considered the most balanced stage in melee. Since then, that title has been given to battlefield, but this stage is still one of my favorite counterpicks when Yoshi's Story or FD is banned. I'm a little uncertain when I counterpick this stage against Space animals, but I think Marth goes even against them on this field. There is enough room in the middle to chain throw them and the platforms are low enough like Yoshi's Story such that I can trap them with up tilts and up airs. --BrianDon't try me! 14:11, 9 December 2012 (EST)

You know, Mid-Air stadium is just FD with a different background. Don't think it has to be legal, though another FD like stage to counterpick is always nice.--BrianDon't try me! 14:13, 9 December 2012 (EST)
Actually, Mid-Air Stadium is Pokemon Stadium 2 with the platforms removed and a different environment (in regards to the sky and the land beyond the stadium). Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 21:17, 10 December 2012 (EST)
