A move is an action performable by a character. Moves include:
- Standard attacks
- Special moves
- Dodging: shielding, sidestepping, rolling, air dodging
- Jumping and recovering
- Taunts
- Moving: walking, dashing, crawling
- Crouching
- Grabbing and using items
Different moves can be combined to form various advanced techniques.
Moves are grouped up into movesets, which are unique to each character, excluding clones and in the case of special moves, semiclones.
