Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.
The Rules
- When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
- You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
- Put a
#
before your vote to facilitate the vote counting. - Type
~~~~
after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. - There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
- Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
- Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section.
- You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
- Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
- Do not put your vote in the Half-Votes section. It is not where anonymous users vote, nor is it acceptable to want your vote to be worth half. It is basically saying "I want to be punished", and you will be treated accordingly.
If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.
Holy smokes! In honour of the good old Nintendo 64, this special round of Smash Arena puts it between the entire cast of the original Super Smash Bros.! This fight won't count towards the official statistics, but it sure counts in all other ways (like bragging rights and so on). The chances of a tie are higher than ever before, so make sure your vote counts!
CommentsToomai, are you sure this will work? Are there different rules for this fight? Mr. Anon (talk) 19:52, 10 December 2010 (EST)
I always look forward to a new Smash Arena battle, but this one was a surprise. I really can't decide on my vote this time. Brawlingbrian LANDMASTER! I dont think any vote will ever be harder than this one ToT forgive me mario,luigi,yoshi,DK,kirby,fox,ness,and captain falcon,specially you kirby and fox,my first and only mains ever in any smash game so many years ago when the game first came out,youre all awesome T~TGig (talk) 01:59, 11 December 2010 (EST) I have a feeling that Captain Falcon is going to win by a landslide.... Brawlingbrian LANDMASTER! 14:21, 11 December 2010 (EST) Me too. Just because of the falcon punch. Shure its funny and powerful but its near impossible to land. Does make for a great internet meam though!Sonicsmasher777 (talk) 21:16, 11 December 2010 (EST) Very close match, either Pikachu or Captain falcon will win this. 151.213.188.106 09:20, 12 December 2010 (EST) The reason why some people chooses Captain falcon is because of his great power such as "FALCON PUNCH", and yes captain falcon was my second favorite SSB character. 151.213.188.106 09:25, 12 December 2010 (EST) |
Round 63: 75m vs. Green Hill Zone
Winner!! Green Hill Zone 14.5 to 25 |
While neither of these stages are tournament-friendly, they're both located in places that started their respective series (and arguably the big two gaming streams of the 90s). Is the iconic construction site or the loopy grassland the more popular battleground?
CommentsWell, I just noticed that for the votes on Green Hill Zone, that it was numbered 1,2,1,2. Welikeikeandfoxes (talk) 20:47, 3 December 2010 (EST)
OT, you're actually wrong saying that Green hill is very small, I think its overall average size (A lot of sky XD). Doc King (talk) 14:03, 4 December 2010 (EST)
@Mesuxelf: Of course 75m doesn't have a background, you have got to remember, you've got a stage from an NES games vs. a stage from a Sega Genesis (plus if they did add one it would be generic anyway). havoC-- 11:39, 5 December 2010 (EST) I knew there were people who didn't like 75m but this vote right now is just ridiculous - Jacobdf11 Ganon ftw (talk) 18:24, 5 December 2010 (EST) When you put it that way OT, it makes sense. Very unique stage. Doc King (talk) 13:34, 5 December 2010 (EST) SuperMarioKingdom, your wrong saying that Snake is a slow character, Snake has some fast moves like DACUS, his tilts, throws, and some special moves are pretty fast. And they're not destroying the smash series at all, whats so wrong with a couple of guest? Doc King (talk) 17:43, 8 December 2010 (EST) |
