Arceus has appeared!!![edit]

I saw ARCEUS!! ARCEUS!! It's true!! ARCEUS!! And I didn't take a picture...

Okay, this just happened. I was playing Classic as Captain Falcon, fighting Diddy and Donkey with Yoshi by my side. Then a pokeball opened, and I heared that gasping sound. A strange pokemon which I hadn't seen before had appeared, and it shot out some form of blue beam (which uselessly passed through a platform, sadly), then it dissapeared. I'm not tottaly sure if it was Arceus though. It was a quadruped, had four legs, somewhat small, and had lots of fins. Can someone please tell me who it was? I've just checked Wikipedia, and I think it WAS Arceus. My theory: Arceus appears and you can tell by it's colour scheme what attack it is going to do. Then, it uses Judgement, the excact effects of it depending on colour scheme. I'm still not sure, but could someone please help?! Zenzpore 00:44, 6 May 2008 (UTC) Zenzpore

It came out of a pokeball? Because that attack sounds a lot more like Dialga. What stage were you on? I just played training mode for a bit with Poke Ball spawning rapidly. I saw what you saw. I was too shocked and the Pokemon had blurred itself, but i checked my Diamond version and examine Arceus in my PC Box, and the figure in SSBB looked just like him. You might be onto something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.62.119.206 (talkcontribs) 01:28, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Why is this dicussion in the CELEBI talk page? and why does it sound like you both saw Dialga who is a guadruped(has four legs. you repeated yourself), has lots of fins, and fires a beam that uselesses goes thru the stage? and if i'm not mistaken...there's a quote from the sinnoh page that says "Arceus does not appear in Brawl, as it wasn't officially open to public at the time, although Dialga and Palkia both appear as background characters on Spear Pillar." And i really find it hard to believe that you did see him and didn't take a picture but you come here and say you did in fact see him. Carbonkirby 01:52, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I have no doubt this was Suicune, who uses Aurora Beam. - Gargomon251 02:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Carbonkirby - I didn't even know there was a sinnoh page, and this is written here as there is no Arceus page. 'Fins' is innacurate-I just saw weird things sticking out of it. The beam was not supposed to go through the stage, it was just that there was a platform infront of it. The picture thing was because I heard the gasp, and saw the pokemon, but it wasn't Mew/Jirachi/Celebi, so I said 'huh?' and realised what happened a few seconds after it dissapeared. Gargomon251-Looking at these pictures...you're right. :( Sorry unsinged user, but I think you saw Suicine to. Too bad... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zenzpore (talkcontribs) 22:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Fly[edit]

In Brawl, Celebi drops some trophies, then flies away. That doesn't mean it's using the move Fly. For example, in the anime, Ash's Corphish and Cilan's Dwebble dug underground, but weren't using the move Dig.

I think we should change this. Perhaps put the move as 'unspecified'. Same for Mew & Moltres. ToastUltimatum Transparent Swadloon.pngComplaints Box 19:51, 16 September 2011 (EDT)

I believe it is verified for Moltres. Agree for Mew and Celebi though. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 20:02, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
*cough* Miles (talk) 20:36, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Damn that was lazy on their part to say they have a move. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 20:41, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Now that I think about it, I would like to argue SmashWiki is not official here. Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi are depicted as being able to float through the air without using any special moves, and in the Smash games, they don't attack the players in any way. As such, I say we should have it listed as none, rather than putting "Fly", which is obviously not the case (not to mention, only Mew out of those Pokemon can technically learn Fly). Hold on, Smashwiki is not official means that we are not an official source, not that we shouldn't use official sources. Mr. Anon (talk) 21:35, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Also note that that specific policy says "Do make references to both the "official" name and the community accepted name if they are different. " If Fly is the official name of what these Pokemon do, then it should be mentioned. Mr. Anon (talk) 21:41, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
I understood that SmashWiki is not official meant that in a case of conflict between common fan terminology and official terminology, we don't have to always side with the official name. However, there's no major fan-term for what move these Pokemon are using (contrast the widespread usage of tech) while there is an official listing. Miles (talk) 21:53, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Yeah, that is what it's primarily for. However, as pointed out, it's clear Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi aren't using any sort of move, and are just floating away just like they have in every other depiction. As such, I feel we should have the move listed as none, then make a mention on how the Dojo claims them to be using Fly. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 06:57, 17 September 2011 (EDT)

Smash 4?[edit]

I could've sworn he's in Smash 4. Is he not? ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 17:03, 4 October 2014 (EDT)

Definitely at least a trophy, but I haven't seen it in gameplay. It might no longer be a Poke Ball summon, but I don't know for sure yet. Miles (talk) 17:08, 4 October 2014 (EDT)
