- Wreck-It Ralph has been confirmed as a playable newcomer via Nintendo Direct. Additionally, Vanellope Von Schweetz has been confirmed to be a new Assist Trophy.

- The Poltergust 5000 has been confirmed as a new move of Luigi's in Super Smash Bros. 4, strongly implied to be his new Final Smash.

- The previously confirmed Lumoise City stage has been revealed as Prism Tower.

- Andross has been confirmed to reappear in at least the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. 4.
- 26 March 2014
- CLASH Tournaments releases a preliminary Project M tier list, the first of its kind.
