Patchwork 2024 was a Super Smash Bros. Melee regional and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major held in Raleigh, North Carolina from July 6th-7th, 2024. This event was known for being one of the few Ultimate events that banned Steve after the release of the Nintendo Community Tournament Guidelines.

This event was the game's first major in the Carolinas region, the first open major in the United States since Collision 2024 in March, and the final United States major of the LumiRank 2024.1 season.
Although dominant in his region, this marked smub's breakout event at a major, where as the #35 seed he upset #31 seed Sonido, #29 seed Mugen, #15 seed Candle, and #12 seed Wildz to place 9th, marking not only the best major placement for a solo-Ridley player, but the best placement for a Ridley player since Tweek's run to 5th at Collision 2019. On the other hand, two top 8 seeds failed to make it into top 8, and in fact placed well below expectations: #4 seed Lima lost to #61 seed Justin24 1-3 (upset factor 8) and #17 seed IcyMist 2-3 (upset factor 5) for 33rd while #8 seed BeastModePaul lost to #72 seed Mikerowave 2-3 (upset factor 7) and #28 seed NoTag 2-3 (upset factor 4) for 25th. Replacing them were #9 seed Monte and #14 seed Jahzz0, with both players making their first major top 8 appearance at this tournament.
A notable incident took place during the Winner's Semi set between Kola and SHADIC, where during game 4 a fire started at the kitchen, leading to the venue's evacuation at the end of the set. Following their return, Kola won the set with a reverse 3-0, claiming his first win over SHADIC after losing to him the last four times, but then lost to MuteAce 1-3 in Winner's Finals. In the Loser's bracket, Zomba was sent to Losers by Wrath prior to top 8 but made a strong Losers run in top 8, defeating Peabnut 3-1 (only the second time he has ever defeated Peabnut), SHADIC 3-1, Wrath in the runback 3-0, and Kola 3-2 to enter Grand Finals, his best major performance since his victory at GENESIS X. MuteAce ultimately defeated Zomba in a close game 5 set, which not only marked his first major win, but the first major win for a Peach player since Samsora's victory at Shine 2019 almost 5 years prior.
