Move

Support. The name is less confusing this way. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 16:58, 17 June 2017 (EDT)

Perhaps "Online play" instead? The menu is just called "Online" in SSB4 anyway, and the term's more common and general. Miles (talk) 18:07, 17 June 2017 (EDT)

"Online" is far too broad of a category for this. I want this category to strictly focus on netplay, or, playing online with others. "Online" could bring a lot of other concepts into the mix, like DLC, updates and such.

"Online play" would eliminate that issue, since it specifically refers to playing online, which updates and DLC are not directly related to. I change my vote to support Online play. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 18:18, 17 June 2017 (EDT)
I guess when put that way, it's not too bad a move. No preference for Netplay or Online Play.

Oppose Netplay is specific to emulation, is it not? Serpent SKSig.png King 21:54, 17 June 2017 (EDT)
While the term netplay does stem from Dolphin, it can still be used to describe any form of playing games online. I've seen people use the term "netplay" for Smash 4 in the past.

Still seems kind of weird to me. I would be cool with a rename to "Online play" though. Serpent SKSig.png King 22:03, 17 June 2017 (EDT)

Support for "Online play"; feels more general and professional. -Menshay (talk) 07:29, 18 June 2017 (EDT)

Move to "online play" I think "wi-fi" is fine, but "online play" is better. I've never heard of "netplay" outside emulators. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Inconceivable 09:52, 18 June 2017 (EDT)
