An example of how going in the negative zone could be harmful to your health.

Negative Zone is Luigi's Final Smash. The name may be a reference to the infamous "Minus World" in the original Super Mario Bros. It has unique properties. Luigi dances, and a large void surrounds him. Inside the void, the colors become inverted. Opponents caught in the void fall victim to all sorts of afflictions given out randomly to opponents. Luigi dances for the first few seconds of the Final Smash, but is unaffected by the Negative Zone when he's done. Also, Luigi's down taunt acts as a home-run bat while the Final Smash is still active; The attack sends opponents off the screen at a straight vertical angle.

List of effects:

  • Drastically reduced attack power
  • Greater launch distance when hit
  • Increased likelihood of slipping
  • Flower growth on head
  • Dizziness
  • Uncontrollable taunting
  • Sudden sleepiness
  • Decreased movement speed
  • Steadily increasing damage
