Kort, also known in the Smash community as The Brazilian Isai, is Ranked #1 on SSB64 in Brazil and undoubtedly considered the best Link player from South America and also the best Kirby in Brazil according to his twitter page. [1] Along with now currently #2 ranked Brazil player Banze, a popular pikachu player, they represent one of the strongest communities from South America that will be competing at GENESIS 3 thanks to an online crowdfunding by generous donors who try to sponsor travel expenses for international players. [2]

He is known for utilizing and popularizing an edgeguarding technique called the black-cat setup/combo.[3] The technique requires Link to throw a bomb on stage opposite to where the enemy is (preferably when the enemy is offstage), followed by a toss of a boomerang against the bomb, causing the boomerang to 1) ricochet flying in the opposite direction towards the enemy, 2) accelerate at a faster speed then the previous speed then initially thrown, and finally 3) will go through Link without causing Link to catch the boomerang, allowing for Link to reduce lag caused by the grab of a returning boomerang.

As a technical player, he utilizes a combination of skills such as Bomb recovery, Invisibomb glitch and maintaining heavy chain attacks of up-air and up-tilts with great fluidity. Kort also mains a few top tier ssb characters as counter-picks when faced with any issues as a Link main.
