Support. Nothing here that isn't already covered appropriately elsewhere. Miles (talk) 18:20, 25 May 2016 (EDT)

Oppose: The Homebrew channel is still very relevant to Brawl in that it's a method of installing mods. I will say that the non-relevant (why do we cover a lego game on here lol) BS on this page will have to go though. Serpent SKSig.png King 20:37, 25 May 2016 (EDT)

Support. I think describing methods for installing hacks (aside from SmashStack, which uses Brawl specifically) is going a bit too far, and most of this is basically an installation guide. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 22:16, 25 May 2016 (EDT)
Then the page needs re-purposed, not deleted. Serpent SKSig.png King 00:40, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
Oppose per Serpent. Like he said, this is still very relevant to Brawl. It does need to be re-written, I will agree, but I honestly believe deleting it isn't the right thing to do here. Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 00:53, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
And how do you propose on re-purposing the article?
--- Monsieur Crow, Author Extraordinaire, 00:05, 27 May 2016 (EDT)
Chop off the installation instructions (except for Smash Stack which will need to be less instruction book like) and add more about how the Homebrew channel is used as it pertains to Brawl. Serpent SKSig.png King 04:03, 28 May 2016 (EDT)
IIRC, you didn't have to use the Homebrew channel to do anything in order to hack Brawl. At least not for the SmashStack method. MegaTron1Decepticon.png 04:06, 28 May 2016 (EDT)
If you remove the instructions, you get a page that solely about one method that can load mods and the Smash Stack, something that already has its own article. Not a terribly useful article in any case, and if we need to cover The Homebrew Channel, small blurbs on relevant pages (File replacement, gameplay modification, etc.) could have a sentence or two about it. Or perhaps an external link to a relevant page on WiiBrew.

Hmmm...we could have this simply redirect to Smash Stack... and maybe make a section on that page for the HB channel.Serpent SKSig.png King 02:32, 29 May 2016 (EDT)
Dubious. The Homebrew Channel is only tangentially related to the Smash Stack method, and its inclusion on Smash Stack would be decidedly irrelevant. As I outlined earlier, a throwaway sentence or two about how the Smash Stack can install The Homebrew Channel would be preferred.

What about a merge with Gameplay modification, since mods are the main (only?) reason this article even exists? -Menshay (talk) 07:15, 26 May 2016 (EDT)

I'd be fine with that. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 09:39, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
Gameplay modification's purpose is to explain what gameplay modification is and what notable mods currently exist. It is not a place for The Homebrew Channel.

Oppose. Per Disaster Flare and Serpent King, though I would have to say that this deletion might be considering that Brawl isn't very popular among the Smash games anymore. Dots (talk) Mega Man X SNES sprite.png The Doc 09:43, 26 May 2016 (EDT)

Not relevant. Popular or not, Brawl is still a Smash game and we will honor it as such. Serpent SKSig.png King 16:12, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
Anyways I will still oppose regardless. Sorry for the not so relevant comment. Dots (talk) Mega Man X SNES sprite.png The Gold 20:25, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
OPPOSE!!! Per everyone who has opposed already. --BeepYouSignature.png BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 01:54, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
One of two primary individuals trying to keep this page has stated he wants to repurpose the article without having provided an appropriate course of action, and the other is now suggesting a merge. Please try to be more careful before saying "per x, y, and z user".
Also, capitals and exclamation points do not make your argument stronger.

Umm... "Chop off the installation instructions (except for Smash Stack which will need to be less instruction book like) and add more about how the Homebrew channel is used as it pertains to Brawl." isn't an appropriate course of action? Serpent SKSig.png King 02:51, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
I was referencing Disaster Flare, not yourself, hence why I brought up "the other is now suggesting a merge". Reading comprehension, sonny.
Anyways, best to keep to the topic on hand, not this idle side-bar.

Delete, or merge with Wii, i think this breaks SmashWiki is not a strategy guide... PoultrysigSSB4.pngPoultryPoultrysigSSBM.png(talk) the God-Slayer 16:52, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
That's kind of how I feel. The Homebrew Channel is worth a mention, but do we really have to tell people how to install it? That does break our policy. John John3637881 Signature.png PK SMAAAASH!! 17:13, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Everyone agrees that the instructions are generally outside of the scope of the Wiki and shouldn't belong here; ultimately, however, the debate boils down as to whether or not the page can stand on its own while still being relevant to Smash.
A merge, too, has been suggested, but there's ultimately the question of where it can go without sticking out like a sore thumb.
--- Monsieur Crow, Author Extraordinaire, 02:44, 2 June 2016 (EDT)

A merge with Wii would be kinda silly tbh. Serpent SKSig.png King 23:47, 1 June 2016 (EDT)

Support Why would we talk about Stack Smash and not know what it can do? Or not tell some person to go to a page to figure out where you can get Project M? I mean, it is a bit unrelated in some ways, but I don't think it should be deleted.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Cypher123 (talkcontribs) 16:00, 1 June 2016‎
