Welcome to my userpage, where I detail my full name (it's Timson 622222, trust me on this), all my nerdy Smash interests, and the most important piece of information- my general geographical location!

That is, all the information you already know if you're a creepy stalker I know in real life and, for some inexplicable reason, you have nothing better to do than search my username on Google.

In that case, please kindly return to being awful elsewhere.

About me

rekt

Hey there. I'm an average editor who's been around since August 2013, and I've been on-and-off since. My expertise lies in the competitive Melee scene, so you'll frequently be seeing me edit the Smasher space and competitive-related articles if I'm around. Other than that, I do rewrites of messy sections, and can analyze characters in Melee and Smash 4 to some extent, usually enough to tell whether what's on a page is legitimate or simply a perpetuated beginner's misunderstanding. And I've seen a lot of beginner misunderstanding, ranging from stuff on pages like "[Sheik's] up throw can easily chain into other combos," to full-blown misconceptions about how "controversial" chaingrabs are at the top level.

Aside from Smash in my spare time, I also play a few other video games, most notably Kirby, Pokémon, Team Fortress 2, and select indie platformers like Eversion and VVVVVV. I've also tried Overwatch and loved it, so I will get that as soon as I can. I also play QuizUp for rank, and am very proficient in the Pokémon and Homestuck categories.

I'm also into board games/social games such as Avalon, Secret Hitler, Werewolf, Coup, and Chess, and I frequent many IRC board game communities, as well as lichess. I love theory, so I often theorycraft for those games or, in the case of chess, study opening theory (yes, I know, tactics first before openings. Whatever.) I even host the Freenode ##werewolf bot on #smashwiki sometimes, so if you ever wanted to play an IRC game from the comfort of the wiki's home channel, you've got your fill.

And aside from that, getting to the boring real-life stuff, I'm a first-year undergraduate college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in financial actuarial mathematics, with a possible statistics minor. Yay, math.

I'm also very active on the SmashWiki IRC, so go there if you want to talk with me for whatever reason or if you need to reach me about something. I don't bite, I promise. Unless you're a vandal.

Smash Skill?

If you're expecting a paragraph about how I'm the best Mario to ever grace this wiki, that you guys better watch out because I can combo and "disrespect" you any day of the week, and have a 300% win rate on For Glory, sorry to disappoint ya.

In terms of my Smash skill, I'm nothing special. I can defeat casual players, but that's really not saying much. My style is rather defensive, and I rely on very basic punishes and beating you in the neutral game, rather than the flashy combos that everyone knows and loves. I'm prone to making horrible mistakes, SDing, and getting mental blocks if I focus on the game too much. I've also never entered a tournament, not even online, so I have no idea how I fare compared to other amateur players around my level. All in all, I'm definitely not the strongest of opponents you'll meet here, especially in Smash 4 since I rarely practice it. If you want a good training partner, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

If you want to play me, just take into account that you'll probably stomp if you're any sort of threat at your locals or on Smashladder or wherever you get your Smash fill. Note also that I only have the 3DS version of Smash 4, but I can try netplay for Melee if you want to go down that route.

Now here's a video of me playing like shit on purpose.

ganon good.

Trivia

  • Music is wonderful. I play the piano semi-professionally, and some violin on the side. If I really get into a piece, I can play and practice it for hours on end.
  • I watch some anime and read manga from time to time. Although I don't have a favorite series, I do have series I despise, namely Sword Art Online (sorry Disaster Flare) and Parasyte. Generally, I hate shows that focus on the greatness of the main character, where they receive no realistic character development and always get the (often useless and filler) girl. I also despise when series introduce characters with lots of potential and then kill them off or completely butcher them by the time it ends. Both of those unfortunately fit the criteria, and I didn't have fun watching them, especially towards the end. Sorry to fans of these shows.
  • My first characters in Smash were Mewtwo and Bowser. I had no idea how to play either one of them and got completely destroyed by my friends' Roys, Pikachus, and Young Links.
  • I never practice against Level 9 CPUs. Lower-leveled bots are good for combo practice, but it's not fun having to play around the Level 9's frame perfect reactions.
  • I herd goats and will send them after you to kick or headbutt you without restraint.
