Crawling

Crawling, also called Crouchwalking, is a new technique announced for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is unknown how it is activated, though it is reasonable to assume that it is done by moving whilst crouching, hence the name "Crouchwalking." Currently, the only known use is to be able to avoid projectiles while still approaching your opponent, acting as a counter to projectile spammers. It is unknown if it will open up other new abilities, as well.

Wario was shown crawling backwards in the Nintendo World 2006 trailer. It is unknown if characters can crawl backwards, or if Wario simply does so for comedic effect. Also, since only Snake, Wario, and Pikachu were shown crawling, it is possible that, like the Wall jump, only certain characters can crawl.
