SSBU!

So, apparently, it is possible to have a 0-second (almost), 1-player match in SSBU.

I was playing on For Glory 1 vs 1. I was on the pre-battle "training stage". The other player selected their character and their status became OK. Then, after the confirmation sound and while the screen was going black, the other player disconnected (I saw their box shifting away).

I then entered a 1-player battle, which immediately ended with a victory.

I was able to save and view the replay without any issue. I even uploaded it for reference: look for Italy / For Glory 1 vs 1 / Yoshi's Island Omega / Ryu in the replay finder.

Would it be worth noting? I give anyone full permission to upload the video on Youtube or the like / reuse any part of it, if deemed relevant.

Yeah, I've seen this before. It can also happen in a free-for-all, in which case you just have the stage to yourself for two minutes before you "win". My replay of that got eaten by an update, but I have a screenshot somewhere. Anyway, adding it here would make sense, although the page then ought to be renamed and made more general. I'm thinking about renaming this "1-player battle", integrating SSBU info (can it happen in Brawl and for 3DS?) and having 0-Second Melee as a subsection. Thoughts? --Menshay (talk) 09:44, 14 July 2015 (EDT)

Merge

Support. These glitches are essentially the same glitch applied to different modes. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 23:39, 15 July 2015 (EDT)

What if Single Person Melee were to be merged here? eliminate the game specific issue. SerpentKing (talk) 22:45, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
The more I think about it, the pages are more or less duplicates. I suggest deletion instead (especially because my List of glitches (SSBM)/(SSB4) page will cover it all anyways) SerpentKing (talk) 23:13, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
  • Support This is a special case of the single-person/team glitch. – Smiddle 06:46, 17 September 2015 (EDT)
