Sm4sh Ganon Down Smash

How is it any good? The two hits don't link reliably (even the first kick knocks opponents away), is too slow and has too much ending lag resulting in a heavy punish if it misses, and has poor knockback scaling along with knocking people at an undesirable trajectory which results it KOing much later than all other of Ganon's tilts and smashes. Even Omega Tyrant, a professional Ganondorf player, stated that it's a legitimate candidate for worst down smash in the game. Shadow (talk) 17:21, 19 May 2015 (EDT)

I suppose it can punish rolls and combo Olimar out of Flame Choke. I don't play the other characters, do any of them have even worse down smashes than Ganon? Shadow (talk) 15:47, 24 May 2015 (EDT)

RE: Ganondorf's Worst Moves

  • Down Smash, as we've discussed earlier, is pretty bad when it's KOing much, much later than his other smashes or even tilts. Not to mention the fact that it's a "natural combo" that doesn't link reliably.
  • Down throw? That has absolutely no KO potential and doesn't link reliably at all. If you mean his other throws, they KO pretty late, roughly around 175% or past 200% and that's arguably indecent for a powerhouse character, especially when most of the others throws are KOing at roughly 150% or so. His grab is obviously terrible for a character of his size.
  • Grounded Wizard's Foot is good, but not as a KO move.

Your wishlist looks good. One thing though...

Ok, so your wishlist is pretty good, but one thing that still irks me: you want his dash to stay the same (i.e. useless), and his already very slow walk to be the slowest in the game, AND YOU WANT TO DECREASE HIS TRACTION? That would mean it's impossible to punish OOS. Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 18:56, 6 October 2015 (EDT)
