Template:Infobox Final Smash SSB4 Pac-Man's Final Smash (スーパーパックマン, Super Pac-Man) does not currently have a confirmed English name. In this Final Smash, Pac-Man simultaneously eats a Power Pellet and a Super Pellet [1] to transform into his classic two-dimensional form and grow larger. He can move anywhere in the air, but only in 90-degree angles, similar to in his home series. Any opponent he catches is eaten and becomes a pair of floating eyes as they get knocked back. When an opponent is consumed, a point value appears as if the opponent was a ghost in his home game; however, the point value appears to be aesthetic. The value starts at 200, then doubles after each hit, though the number will not exceed 7650. After the initial knockback, the opponent will turn back into their character until Pac-Man eats them again.

Origin

Pac-Man has been seen growing a large size in a short cutscene in the original Pac-Man, where he was chased by a ghost when normal sized, then chases that ghost when giant sized. He wasn't seen in this size during normal gameplay until Super Pac-Man, where special green pellets, known as Super Pellets, allowed him to temporarily increase in size, move faster, and break through doors.

The floating eyes that appear are reminiscent to those from the original Pac-Man. It was a form the ghosts take after Pac-Man consumes them when they are vulnerable. The consumed ghosts must return to their lair in order to restore themselves back to normal. The point value that appears when Pac-Man eats a ghost is added to the total score of a play through. These points rack up every time Pac-Man eats a ghost in the period of time he is invincible.
