Overview

Snake lays the opponent on the floor, putting them in a downed status. Deals 12% damage. One of the best tech-chase moves in the game - if the player can predict the opponent's actions, an infinite chaingrab is possible, and it is possible to followup with many moves, including KO moves such as an up tilt. For example, a fresh down throw and then an forward tilt follow-up can deal as much as 33% damage.

The immense versatility and raw damage output of the move makes it a popular approach option in competitive play.

Trivia

Exploiting a CPU with the move.
  • If this move is performed against a CPU, they will always roll towards the nearest edge. This means that it is extremely easy to infinitely chaingrab them near the edge, which can easily be done until KO percentages.
