Forum:Smash Arena
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters, items, stages or anything else from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.
The Rules
- When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted the way you did, or you can just leave your signature.
- You can only vote once. Any multiple votes will be removed.
- Put a
#
before your vote to facilitate the vote counting. - Type
~~~~
after your vote to sign it, whether you are logged in or not. Using the wrong number of "~"s counts as not signing - your signature must have both your signature itself and the time. - There is a line in each section consisting of "DO NOT ADD COMMENTS OR EDIT ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE". You are to do so; do not just type your vote at the bottom of the editing window. Not following this rule results in your vote being displayed in the wrong place.
- Put your vote below other votes; that is, so the votes are in chronological order.
- Any comments about the fight should be left in the comment section. However, you are not to post argumentative, accusative, or any sort of comment with the intention of starting an argument with someone on the opposing side. The Smash Arena is a popularity contest, there's no need to argue with the other side on why your choice is superior, or why they are wrong with their reasoning for picking their choice. You are also not to post comments that are just pointing out/complaining how close/one sided a matchup is. These sorts of comments are worthless, and do nothing but make an already large page larger.
- You may only vote in the current fight; all previous fights are closed.
- Do not leave a space between your comment and the ones above it (and/or below it).
- If there are multiple fights in a single round, try to make all your votes in a single edit.
If your vote is not added correctly - that is, it breaks rules 3, 4, or 5 - you have one hour to fix it. After this time, it may be moved by any user to the Half-Votes section (adding the unsigned template if necessary), and it will count as half a vote. Attempting to move your vote out of the Half-Votes section may result in it being worth zero at an operator's discretion. In addition, if your votes-to-rulebreaks ratio climbs too high, your votes may count for zero until the ratio drops to an acceptable level.
Intentional half-votes undermine the intent of the half-vote system as a way to punish voters for voting incorrectly. It is legal to want a vote to be worth half, but it is very heavily discouraged, and you must state in your vote you want it to be worth half.
Two charge-up sword attacks that, if allowed to wind up to maximum strength, produce large explosions almost guarenteed to KO. Which has the bigger bang?
I feel so responsible... ToastUltimatum Complaints Box 19:18, 2 September 2011 (EDT)
The first fight of the second century is your run-of-the-mill Smasher vs. Smasher with similarities - the thing that make this place popular to begin with. Which hungry hero will come out on top?
Comments@Mr.Anon Nice pun. xD --174.59.4.202 21:11, 26 August 2011 (EDT) @Ivy I hear ya. And by half a vote, too. Although I geuss it's kind of fitting, considering he's Luigi. --174.59.4.202 01:25, 27 August 2011 (EDT) @Dr.Pain if you think kirby is worse than Yoshi, why is your vote in kirby's--Oh wait...I feel dumb... 25T16 It's-a me! 09:53, 27 August 2011 (EDT) @68.227.228.211 You know, Yoshi CAN infact speak english, it's just very broken english. 25T16 It's-a me! 23:07, 27 August 2011 (EDT) @Toast: Please don't start referencing NCS. --FireEmblemFan275 (talk) 22:24, 30 August 2011 (EDT)
Uh, Yoshi isn't a "bottomless foodbag". His nature isn't to eat a lot, he's just known to swallow a lot of things (turning most of them into eggs). Yoshi enjoys fruit rather than other foods, unlike Kirby, who eats just about anything. Yoshi also has a stomach and can get full. Wario and even Mario are more of a "foodbag" than Yoshi is. The fact that Yoshi cannot swallow items is further proof that he isn't a glutton. Just saying, if that last part can be removed, it should. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 03:18, 1 September 2011 (EDT) Vote yoshi #10 If Kirby eats Yoshi, he'll get t3h tounge... ò.óLucas-IV- Combo God! 23:19, 1 September 2011 (EDT) |
