Web Browsers
I would recommend that you get Mozilla Firefox - I used to use Internet Explorer and I had the same problem of it crashing when using SmashWiki. Firefox is much better than Internet Explorer, and you can get all sorts of different add-ons as well, like ChatZilla (an IRC client, so you can chat to other SmashWiki contributors without having to use Wikia's rubbish Gateway), Adblock Plus (which blocks adverts, which is actually more useful than you'd think), and an English Dictionary (which underlines in red any word which it doesn't recognise, making it perfect for checking your spelling on SmashWiki). Those three should be enough to start with, and will make editing quite a bit easier. All the downloads are free, you don't need to make an account with them or anything, and it should take only a couple of minutes in total. (And no, I'm not being paid to say this!) - I see what you mean and I have been wanting to get it. The thing is, I am only 15 and my mum disagrees with me. She will not allow me to download it. I have IE8 which does have a built in spellchecker which I use when checking over new edits. When I get my new laptop, I will use Firefox but until then, I will have to try and make do. I am pleased that I am not the only one who suffers this problem. Thanks anyway, ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 12:39, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
- all right. I downloaded it. I am using it only for wiki though. OMG, preview worked. ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 12:46, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
Rollback
Firstly, congratulations on your successful RfR. Secondly, this edit shouldn't have been Rollbacked. Armada happens to be one of the best smashers in Europe, along with people like Amsah - the edit was unnecessary, but it wasn't clear vandalism so you should have just used "undo" and explained that it was unnecessary in the edit summary. I'm not criticising, as you've just got Rollback and might not know how exactly when to use it, but you should be more careful in future. Thanks, PenguinofDeath 16:27, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- All right. I have always just rollbacked unnecessary edits in the past and never been criticized for it. Sorry. Will be more careful in future. ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 20:27, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Pics for Bombed and Big Primid articles
OK, I have pictures for the Bombed and Big Primid acticles, but let's say I didn't get them from a website. I took them midgame. Those type of pictures are not allowed, are they? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks, User:Dededefan
- Of course they are allowed. In fact, we would rather have pictures that you took yourself instead of stolen images. ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 05:11, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. User:Dededefan
Hey, how did you put the pictures of the characters on your User page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dededefan (talk • contribs) 17:17, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- Copy and paste. Just took them from the Tier List article. ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 20:04, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
English dictionaries...
Hi Solar Dragon. You made some spelling edits to many pages, but I noticed that the spelling was "wrong." SmashWiki is written in English (US), so you'll have to avoid trying to fix the spelling so that it's in English (UK). Anyways, I'm trying to revert the UK-spelling changes (some of the spelling you had there was actually correct), but could you help out a bit? RAN1domchupunch!!! 20:13, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
- yep. Fine. I have changed my default dictionary to US. ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 09:08, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
Welcoming new users
Please try to avoid welcoming users who have made only one or two edits - wait to see if they're actually going to start editing seriously before welcoming them, or you end up creating talk pages for users who then never return. If we wanted to welcome absolutely everyone, we would set up a bot to do it. PenguinofDeath 10:52, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok then. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 14:16, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
The Unsigned template...
... can make a timestamp as well as a signature, and both are required. Otherwise, why not just sign things with ~~~? It's easy to do - just copy and paste the time stamp from the diff. or from the page History and put it after the signature. Given that you're English, it's even easier for you to do it than it is for anyone else as UTC is the same as GMT in Winter, and it's GMT-1 in Summer. PenguinofDeath 12:14, January 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, sorry. Will do in future. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 21:55, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Your signature
You're not allowed to use a template in your signature without substituting it (that is, like so: {{SUBST:User:Solar Dragon/Signature}}
). Toomai Glittershine The Stats Guy 12:15, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
- well, it is that or two/three lines of code. I just won't bother with here any more in future then. Bye! {{subst:#switch:{{subst:#expr:{{subst:#time:U}} mod 6}}

- Um, what? Two or three lines of code is fine for a signature (provided it would fit in the signature box in Preferences). Toomai Glittershine The Table Designer 12:29, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, it doesn't fit OK. - Solar Dragon 12:30, July 4, 2010 (UTC) (Makeshift signature as you don't like mine)

thanks for fixing those red links for me--kyle.b talk 15:00, 13 April 2011 (EDT)
- You're welcome. The only reason I really did it was so they wouldn't show up in Special:WantedPages. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 02:25, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
