Gyko is an New Zealand smasher known for using many different characters. He first started Super Smash Bros when SSBM was released but it was not until Brawl's release in 2008 when he started to play at a high level.
However he is probably most known for his contributions towards building a Smash community in the Marriland forums. He is also one of the few, if not the only person to representative his country internationally.
Melee
When Gyko first played Melee, he did not even own a Gamecube and originally mained Samus. He purchased the game in 2009 wanting to play Roy, and now he currently mains Marth although often plays Fox, Falco and Sheik as well.
Brawl
Gyko picked up Super Smash Bros Brawl on its release and continued to play Samus, his main at the time, until he was persuaded by "his friend to pick up Mr. Game & Watch" who he played for the duration of 2008 and 2009 before trying to pick up King Dedede as his main and shortly after "every character in the game" per Chsal's description.
Some of his notable characters include Snake, Lucario, Marth, King Dedede, Mr. Game & Watch, ROB, Falco, Olimar, and Pit.
Trivia
- Gyko's good friend Kira was who persuaded him to use Mr. Game & Watch.
- Gyko hates Meta Knight.
