Diffusion Beam glitch
The Diffusion Beam Glitch is a glitch for R.O.B. in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like the Puff Up glitch, this glitch works on any level where the terrain is regenerated, such as the floor in Green Hill Zone or the awnings on Onett. The most popular (and easiest) place to perform this glitch is on Bridge of Eldin. First, R.O.B. must break the Smash Ball so that it will be able to perfrom its Final Smash. Next, (on the Bridge of Eldin), wait for King Bulblin to destroy the middle of the bridge. After a short wait, a twilight portal will open and begin to rebuild the bridge. While this is happening, jump into the space where the bridge will reappear and use R.O.B.'s Final Smash. If timed right, R.O.B. will be launched into the air and land on the fixed bridge. Then, R.O.B. should have a permanent Diffusion Beam. To end this glitch, K.O. R.O.B.
Trivia
- Interestingly enough, Smash Balls will appear while the infinite diffusion beam is in use.
- Using the same process to achieve this glitch, a lot of other Final Smashes have odd effects, such as Jigglypuff gaining the ability to permanently stay giant or Marth, Kirby, Fox, Falco and Wolf triggering the Golden Glitch, which causes infinite "color" around them.
- Diffusion Beam has 3 modes: Wide, Short, and Laser. When the glitch is performed, sometimes you'll get stuck in one of these three. However, there is a remedy: simply charge a gyro, and shield cancel it. R.O.B should randomly change his "mode". The laser is only fired once.
- Sometimes, the diffusion beam won't appear, but the sound of it will keep going on, and CPUs will still run away from you. This is fixed by charging a gyro, which, as explained above, will get R.O.B stuck in one of the three modes.
