USB Gecko is a cheat device for the Wii that is similar to the Action Replay. The USB Gecko's effects have been chronicled throughout videos and pictures alike, and has thus become popular. However, playing as an unplayable character or playing on an unplayable stage makes the game freeze. This is one of few differences between it and the Action Replay.
Trivia
- Some say[citation needed] that people can only use the USB Gecko if they have a modded Wii. Whether this is true or not has yet to be verified.
- Shippiddge will use the USB Gecko for his 2nd season of Smashtasm. He has already used the Gecko in one of his "Smashtasm Extras", titled "Talking to Yourself", where he uses it to make two Marios (both the same color, rather than one being a lighter shade) and a "Shadow" Mario.
