Gyarados is a species of Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue and every non spin-off game from then on. It is found almost anywhere in every region when fishing with a super rod.

Gyarados appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy, found in modes such as Coin Launcher, the Subspace Emissary, and even the Home-Run Contest.

- An Atrocious Pokémon rarely seen in the wild. When it does appear, it's usually running rampant in a destructive rage--behavior that has the unfortunate side effect of leaving whole cities in ruin. It is said that when humans begin a conflict, Gyarados incinerates the towns of both warring parties. There are records of a Gyarados rampage lasting as long as a month.
