Proposed.png This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

I did a rework of {{SiteGlitch}}, and even gave it its own category. I now want to add it to the Mainteance template for easy access. Thoughts? Jordan2009, the Sora Main Talk here 22:38, June 14, 2023 (EDT)

Support

  • Support. I see how it is...any other maintenance template suggestion here can get approved just fine, but the moment someone says ONE THING even slightly out of the ordinary, they deserved to be suppressed. Their ideas get labeled as "inappropriate." And perhaps worst of all, they are banished from further communication to prevent others from daring to come up with new and innovative ideas.

This is a forum. We discuss things here. We do NOT silence others simply because we disagree with them. OP made a great proposal here. If you have an actual objection to any of the points I made, then have an actual back and forth discussion with me about it. You do NOT erase my ideas, label me as a "vandal," and threaten to lock the thread in an act of cowardice.

I must concede that you guys have made one very good point here, however: that "normal users shouldn't try to act like the admin team." Yeah, you're damn right it's a good thing people aren't acting more like the admins around here, otherwise they'd probably be shouting, "HEIL HlTLER!!!!"

Like it or not, SmashWiki is NOT censored. It doesn't matter how much my friend threw up as long as its relevant to the discussion. Honestly, the way this situation has been handled, and the corruption of the admin team that was exposed as a result, should be reason enough for this to be added to the maintenance template with no further discussion. Think I'm wrong? Then don't delete my post without giving me a chance to respond—do something about it. 185.107.57.9 01:44, November 18, 2023 (EST)

  • Support.' I agree! I'm so glad you pointed that out. What a great proposal! 185.107.57.7 01:44, November 18, 2023 (EST)
  • Support. I'm so sorry the admins did that to you. Some people will do anything for a slice of power. 100% agree! 185.107.57.10 01:45, November 18, 2023 (EST)

Oppose

  • Oppose. Unless I misunderstood the purpose of the template, isn't this really only something that admins (Probably more specifically Porple) can fix? The maintenance template is used for anything that requires input (proposals) or is able to fixed/added by a regular user (stubs, cleanups, missing results, etc.). • Oppose. Pretty much what the above-mentioned is true. Regular users shouldn't bother with administrative works. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? NaughtyPigBoi.jpg 20:25, July 4, 2023 (EDT)
  • Oppose. For the same reasons as mentioned by both Señor Mexicano and NaughtyPigMario. LaughinElf (talk) 14:56, July 26, 2023 (EDT)
  • Oppose per above. Nothing to say that hasn't already been said. -PlagueSigImage.pngPlague von KarmaPlagueSigImage.png 22:30, November 12, 2023 (EST)
