The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Shuriken of Light (光の手裏剣, Shuriken of Light) is one of the three neutral special moves of the Mii Swordfighter.
Overview
When activated, the Mii Swordfighter will toss a small, translucent yellow shuriken forward in a line, similar to Greninja's Water Shuriken, but with light instead of water. The shuriken damages the first enemy it hits, then disappears. It is stronger when hitting from a distance, doing 9% damage, while at close range it deals only 2% damage. Additionally, when used up close, it will only shift the enemy backwards slightly without making them flinch at all (giving it some similarities to Fox's Blaster or the Mii Gunner's Laser Blaze), while when fired from a distance, it can make them flinch. It should be noted that the Mii Swordfighter gains super armor at the moment that they flash. While not useful in most situations, it can be used with precise timing to avoid knockback from otherwise deadly incoming attacks.
In Ultimate, the shurikens now pick up speed as they travel, are thrown much faster overall, and have gained the ability to lock opponents. However, the projectile now deals less damage upon reaching its maximum distance.

Origin
While Shuriken of Light is supposed to be a move original to the Smash series like their other special moves, Miis have been seen wielding shurikens in a few Mii series games. In Wii Play Motion, they wielded shurikens in the Ninja Stage of the game, "Trigger Twist". In Nintendo Land, the Mii, dressed as Takamaru, uses shurikens in the attraction, "Takamaru's Ninja Castle". In Wii Party U, the Miis, dressed as ninjas, use shurikens in the minigame, "Star Pupil".
