Evil Geniuses (EG) is a professional eSports organization that includes both divisions for traditional eSports games and a powerhouse fighting game division founded in 2010 and currently including multiple Evolution and major tournament winners. Currently, they also brand themselves as a "new media agency specializing in contracting professional gamers, creating online and offline video game broadcasts, and developing engaging marketing initiatives aimed at attracting and influencing gamers worldwide." They entered the Super Smash Bros. Melee scene on May 9th, 2014, sponsoring PPMD.
On December 12th, 2016, Twitch spun-off Evil Geniuses and Alliance into player-owned organizations. Top professional Dota 2 player Peter "ppd" Dager was named CEO of Evil Geniuses. [1]
On March 24th, 2017, Evil Geniuses would venture into Super Smash Bros. for Wii U with the signing of Midwest Diddy Kong player Zinoto.[2]
