Talk:List of leaks
Apparently, a beta tester revealed Incineroar and PP early
2 months ago, a guy with the Reddit handle Noatesty randomly replied to a post on r/SmashUltimate, describing Incineroar and PP's movesets right down to a T, also remarking PP was only available by using the debug menu. Everything he described ended up being correct, so I think this should be added. (Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/SmashBrosUltimate/comments/9fk0yw/potential_dlc_fighters/)
If you don't feel like clicking on the link, here's the post he made (very top of the comment thread):
"I worked on it for a while and no fucking joke the only one in the game as of a couple weeks ago is a pirhana plant. I have no idea why. It doesn't even have the fireball they're known for. Such a strange choice, people are going to be pissed when they announce that. It's pretty playable though just some minor graphical bugs last I checked. I assume they'll do more DLC in the future but that's the only one in the build we got (you have to use the debug menu to use him).
Also Incineroar is on the base roster, he does a bunch of wrestling moves, it's kind of weird. Also his purple skin definitely looks like Big the Cat's colors, probably a coincidence but I always found it funny. His side special is especially strange you literally summon ropes and bounce the opponent against them. Seriously I know that sounds stupid but you'll see, that's legitimately his side special. Is there a pokemon move to justify that? I can't imagine there is."108.56.71.43 16:25, 23 November 2018 (EST)
Ultimate gameplay has leaked and revealed that Marx is the boss of Kirby's classic mode
Someone needs to add this soon since I can't add it myself for obvious reasons also the one who leaked it was a YouTuber called Jared desantis
Way more than that. We're also getting Ganon as a boss (OoT version), Crazy Hand got a new remix, tons of Spirits got revealed, and two more maps for World of Light got revealed (most damning, a World of Dark version and a multi-phased boss fight). That's not even everything revealed in the datamines. I feel sorry for whoever has to catalog all this. 108.56.71.43 20:39, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- That would go to the List of rumors page, as it hasn't been proven correct. Corrin Fan 20:54, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- Really, dog? This was all ripped directly from the game's files. What more does it need to be proven correct? God coming down from the sky and saying "Yup, this shit's legit?" If you really doubt this, look it up.
For anybody else reading this, here's a video documenting all this; multiple links to the info found is present in the video description (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k1qay55vmM)108.56.71.43 21:02, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- Is that from Nintendo's channel? If not, then it doesn't need to be here. We can a: wait until release or
- b: put it in the List of rumors page until Nintendo's confirmation. As it needs to be confirmed by NINTENDO to be true. Corrin Fan 21:33, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- Are you blind, deaf, or just fucking stupid? This data was RIPPED FROM THE GAME FILES. THAT'S LITERALLY ALL THE EVIDENCE ANYBODY NEEDS. YOU CAN FIND LITERALLY ALL OF THIS ONLINE (the WoL cutscenes, pictures of the bosses, everything) if you used your fucking brain. If you got the full copy of this game in your hands and played it and found it was all true, would you say "Nope, Ninteny didn't say this, it's not confirmed?" I know wiki moderation isn't exactly intelligent in general, but holy shit. Smh. 108.56.71.43 21:39, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- Have a read of SmashWiki:Citation, and also SW:NPA while you’re at it. Your extremely unpleasant behaviour will not see you lasting very long here if you do not kerb it. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 22:15, 24 November 2018 (EST)
- If I may, an early copy of the game isn't exactly a "leak" that would go under our leaks page in its own little section; it's weird, but that's how it is (unless someone would like to argue that). That said, a mention of it would not be a bad idea (i.e., "two weeks before Ultimate's release date, people began to pirate the game and stream it online, showing off unrevealed information about the game.") Regarding the current state of the discussion, however:
- IP - we will not tolerate that kind of behavior on the wiki. This is to be a positive environment; we're not Facebook or Twitter or Reddit.
- Corrin Fan - I do have to side with the IP here. There isn't much more proof than the files from the game itself. Sure, people have attempted to make up stuff before about what's in the game's files, but video proof can't really be beat. We tried to do that once, and it failed.

- Yeah, no. The IP, though incredibly rude, is right. Nintendo does not need to confirm that something is true for it to be true; the game itself, and datamines from said game (plus actual Twitch/YouTube streams!) are reliable sources that can be used to confirm/deconfirm leaks, which we have. - According to the website TV Tropes, what happened is that the game was shipped to Mexican retailers early, and the retailers just shrugged and sold them as-is. I assume we're not actually putting any of this thread in the article until after the game actually launches, though, from what I can tell.99.46.176.64 17:18, 27 November 2018 (EST)
