The Blunderbuss (パイレーツキャノン, Pirate's Cannon) is a special move used by King K. Rool. He pulls out a blunderbuss and shoots a cannonball forward, before sucking it back in with the blunderbuss and spitting it back out at a higher angle. The blunderbuss can also pull in opponents before spitting them out as well. King K. Rool aesthetically wears the pirate's hat from his disguise of Kaptain K. Rool while using this attack.
Origin
This attack takes inspiration from the boss fight against K. Rool in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. In the fight, Diddy and Dixie Kong had to avoid cannonballs shot by the king, and grab them and throw them into his blunderbuss when he tried to suck up the Kongs. Doing so would result in the blunderbuss exploding due to clogging up, and damage K. Rool.
