Ryu (リュウ, Ryū) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was officially confirmed on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
In 1-on-1 matches, Ryu will always face his opponent just like his origin series.
This makes it harder to make accidental inputs for his attacks.
This makes him easier to be hit with Disable, and harder to use his back aerial.
