He is called the Jinx Master for always jinxing himself in many situations. He was formerly ranked 59th on the Spring 2017 FCR.

History

Shintaro Was Originally interested in Super Smash Bros. Competitive after watching Amsah vs EK at RoS3 in 2007. After realizing there was a game just waiting to have a competitive scene was up in the air, he decided to join as one of the first members. Upon originally picking up Sonic, Shintaro gained below average results, spanning in very low placements such as 9th (low for its time). When he dropped Sonic in favor for Link, his results starting picking up, Most notably his 3rd place at Flash Invitational. Shintaro went on to gain moderate success in the community, notably receiving 9th place in the, at the time, biggest Super Smash Flash 2 Tournament of all time. His first ever singles win in competitive happened at Reboot #1, where he took 1st in both Singles and Doubles. After his win at Reboot #1, he gained major success, receiving 1st place at most of the remaining tournaments in 2010. After his successful 2010 run, due to injuries, Shintaro had to miss out on the majority of 2011, Only being able to participate in early tournaments. He then returned in 2012 to take Reboot #5 out of the blue. During the tournament, he met the new player LOLKBRO, who was known for being an amazing doubles player. They teamed in doubles and took 1st. After Reboot #5, Shintaro started getting washed up with his 45th place finish at NYFC #13, though was continuing to dominate doubles with LOLKBRO. After Participating at NYFC #39, Shintaro announced his retirement from the scene to play the soon to come out Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. After being unable to receive the game, Shintaro took a break from smash entirely to focus on other important things. He couldn't pull himself away though, and after 3 years of being inactive, he returns to play at Dair to Fair? Where he gets an uncharacteristic 65th place. He quit again to train himself up, then rejoined to receive 25th at Gax's Beta Challenge. His last known tournament was FoF #2, where he received last place in an unfortunate ragequit. Sometime in June, he ran across controversy with Gax, which eventually led Shintaro to be Banished from competitive Super Smash Flash 2. Looking to continue Super Smash Bros. Competitive, He picks up Melee and Smash 4, with decent success outside of tournaments. His most notable win in this time was vs Binnzzz, where he took multiple games off of his Cloud, and beat him in Sonic Dittos.
