Whispy Woods is a character that is part of the Kirby universe. It appears on the Dream Land stage in SSB and the Green Greens stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Whispy Woods is a tree that has a face on it and blows wind. In most of his appearences in the Kirby series, he is usually the first boss.
Whispy Woods is in the background of both Green Greens and Dream Land. Whispy will blow powerful air from its mouth into one direction. The characters caught in the wind current will start to blow towards the left or right side of the screen. In Melee, Whispy will also shake apples from its branches in the Green Greens stage. The apples have a variety of effects. If a character is hit by an apple while it comes out of Whispy, that character will take damage. When they land the apples are either health restoring or a projectile weapon.

"A boss enemy from Kirby's Dream Land. Whispy Woods is a big tree that shoots whirlwinds at Kirby. It isn't the toughest enemy: all Kirby has to do is avoid the occasional whirlwind, suck in apples that fall down, and then shoot them back at the tree. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Whispy Woods is quite the blowhard."
