Peach's Peril (ピーチまたさらわれる, Peach gets kidnapped again) is the 19th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In Peach's Peril, the player controls Mario and has exactly one minute to prevent Peach from getting KO'd by a larger than normal Bowser. Peach will walk back and forth on Final Destination, and does not attack Bowser at all, whereas Bowser will direct most of his attacks towards her. Peach does not attack Bowser; except the one attack which is her Peach Parasol move to get back on to the stage.

The player is able to KO Bowser; but he is infinite. So each time the player succeeds in doing so (KO'ing Bowser), Bowser returns to the stage. To successfully complete the event, both the player and Peach must survive the whole minute. If the player (Mario) or Peach are KO'd at any time, the match ends in failure. The high score for the event is based on the number of times the player is able to KO Bowser.

This event match is a homage to most of the games in the Mario main series (usually for 1 player); where Bowser kidnaps Peach and Mario has to rescue her by defeating Bowser. In addition, the stage is Final Destination (which plays a song from the Mario universe; Princess Peach's Castle) and is a reference to the final boss being Bowser (the main antagonist) on Mario in most of the Mario main series games. Then Bowser has Peach kidnapped and Mario has to defeat him in order to rescue Peach.
