Skill Super Smash Bros. 4 Top professional

Locus is a smasher originally from Weyburn, Saskatchewan who is considered to be the best Smash 4 Ryu main in Canada and one of the best Ryu players in the world (along with Trela and Darkshad). He is currently ranked 45th on the Panda Global Rankings and 3rd on the British Columbia Smash 4 Power Rankings where he resides due to university. Locus boasts wins over Mr.R, Tweek, Xzax, Saj, Seagull Joe, 9B, Tyrant, Aphro, Vash, and Darkshad, as well as a variety of other top talent from Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

Tournament history

Locus began to play in tournaments in the summer of 2015 and immediately began to dominate the Saskatchewan scene. Upon moving to BC to attend UBC, hecontinued to do well in BC tournaments despite his lack of experience. At the end of the Winter 2015/16 season, Locus was already an honourable mention on the very competitive British Columbia Power Rankings. By the end of the spring 2016, Locus was ranked 5th. After a return to domination in Saskatchewan during summer 2016. Locus recently came back to BC as the school year began again and was ranked 3rd on the BC PR for Summer and Fall 2016

At 2GGT: ZeRo Saga, Locus established himself as a top player when he upset both Tweek and Mr.R and placed 9th. He was ranked 45th on the Panda Global Rankings as a result. Since then he has been performing very well both in and out of region taking 25th at G4 and taking more sets than usual from Captain L and Big D. He has also begun dominating the doubles scene of BC after teaming more with Captain L because they attend more OOR events together. His sponsorship from UBCEA will allow Locus to travel more (with an emphasis on attending much of the upcoming 2GG Championship Series) improve, and make a name for himself as the best Ryu.

UBC | OneHand

Locus is famed for his alter-ego of UBC | OneHand, a Captain Falcon main with only 1 hand. Originally a device used to challenge himself when his only practice partner was his non-competitive sister, UBC | OneHand made it's debut in a money match against top Saskatchewan player, Qwexe's Peach, where OneHand took the 2$ in a clean 2-0. Since then, OneHand has improved and made a name for itself beating all sorts of players in friendlies and money matches, notably Blanc, FoCus, and Exodia.

Trivia

  • Locus was previously held back by his atrocious record against BC's #2 Captain L (once estimated at 1-66) that Locus cites as being caused by Captain L's bidou control scheme allowing him to SDI out of Ryu's D-tilt and U-tilt combos.
  • An inside joke has arisen among the BC Smash community that Locus is secretly FoCus's brother, proed by the fact that both their first names and tags are only differentiated by 1 letter.
