The Screw Attack was an upgrade Samus could add to her power suit in the Metroid games. It debuted as an item in Super Smash Bros. Melee. When holding it, the character's jumps were replaced with screw attacks. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Screw attack will stick to the character and the character will be able to use other items.
