What are the thoughts of the possibilty of Maxwell from Scribblenauts being in Smash 4 as DLC? Nintenzilla (talk) 12:16, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

Very low. Little support worldwide and, as a third-party character, that's a lot of negotiations for Sakurai to go through for someone no one really wants, particularly when King K. Rool or Isaac, who are first-party and require little-to-no negotiation, are so much more popular. I wouldn't be upset if he was added (unless he was like, the only DLC character left and got in over everyone else that was so much more popular) but I would be very surprised. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Issac is second party. Nintenzilla (talk) 12:31, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
...You sure? But even if he is that's easier than third-party, and, again, he's a more requested character. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 12:38, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
I hope Isaac gets in. Golden Sun was my childhood man, and I was so disappointed when he was only an Assist Trophy, but this "airfighter" proves you can go from Assist Trophy to playable fighter. Disaster Flare (talk) 12:41, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
He's in the top three worldwide according to polls. Still, people are doubtful of him getting in. Also, this is about Maxwell, not Isaac :P ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 12:46, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Only in the West really, to be fair though he does have small support in Japan but not much, as his popularity is largely exaggerated. And yes he's from Camelot, a subsidiary of Nintendo. Nintenzilla (talk) 12:47, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

(Reset indent) Golden Sun was created by Nintendo. Isaac is first party.

That aside, I don't think Maxwell has a chance. I don't know a single person who even would think to add him. Aidanzapunksignature.pngAidan, Master of Speed and AuraAidanzapunkSignaturesmall.PNG 13:30, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

I would. You have to admit Maxwell is a good idea for his unorthodox (not to mention hilarious) moveset. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:32, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

Isaac's support isn't exaggerated. It's true that he is one of the most supported characters (while some people may have answered untruthfully, the fact that he was in second overall on a collection of around 20 different worldwide polls shows that he has a lot of support). This support does mostly come from the west, but he was able to beat out most characters with support worldwide (only losing to K. Rool), so that means a large majority of the west wants him.

I would say Maxwell is a nice option for maybe Smash 5. But not DLC. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 13:35, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

Think about his moveset though. He could quite literally throw a bull at Mario and turn him into a matador. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:41, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

The Golden Sun series was made by Camelot SPD, a subsidiary of Nintendo, which isn't entirely owned by them. Aidan, I'm sorry to say this, but it's getting incredibly annoying, you think Shulk is second-party, and Isaac is first-party, but it's really the other way around, please remember this. Anyways, I know plenty of people who'd be interested in seeing Maxwell. He has decent popularity, and you can find plenty of fanart of a possible Smash appearance and even a fan trailer. So there is a fanbase that he has, and he his moveset potential is endless, imagine a flying bathtub as his recovery. Nintenzilla (talk) 14:26, 28 October 2015 (EDT)

Technically, Golden Sun and Xenoblade are both second-party Nintendo franchises (as are Pokemon, Kirby, Fire Emblem, and so on). I laid out some of the copyright info for these things here. Anything that's "© Nintendo / Somebody Else" is second-party, whereas "© Nintendo" on its own is first-party. Miles (talk) 14:29, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Isn't Akira owned by Sega AM2? Nintenzilla (talk) 14:39, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
