Move.png It has been suggested that this article should be moved to X (Mega Man).
The reason given for the move is: I think that X should just link to the disambiguation page, considering how many other things it could be, some of which seem like they'd be searched for more. (Discuss)
This article is about the Mega Man character. For other uses, see X (disambiguation).

Origin

In the year 20xx, Dr. Light created an upgrade to the original model of Mega Man, known as Megaman X. He had a levelnof free will much higher than anything ever made. To make sure X knew right from wrong, Light put X through a series of tests for 30 years. Light knew he wouldn't make it to see his creation in it's perfected state, so he left a warning on the capsule to not open it until the tests were completed. After an unknown period of time, a man by the name of Dr. Cain found X. Seeing that the tests were done, he opened the capsule. He was genuinely astounded at Light's work. He created copies, all with their own unique look. He called them Reploids. They acted just like humans, except for X. Cain didn't put the others through the same tests X had been through. It was later discovered that Dr. Wily, Light's rival, had created a reploid of his own. Zero was a true warrior. He had a virus, known as the Maverick virus, that made reploids overly hostile. Sigma, one of the more advanced reploids, went to take care of Zero. He cured Zero, but went Maverick in the process. He created his own strand of the virus and infected all the reploids with it. Except X and Zero, who later stopped him on more than one occasion. X later sacrificed himself to contain a deadly weapon, but lived on in the form of a sprite and helped Zero in the Mega Man Zero series.
