This article is about the Event Matches. For information on the secret All-Star Mode, see here.

An All-Star event is, in Melee an event match, and in Brawl a Multi-Man mode, both involving a series of fights against a variety of characters.

In Melee

Five matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee are All-Star matches that pit the player against 4-5 different computer players (up to six on the last one), one right after the other. Each computer plays on his own stage, so every time a computer is defeated, the player is automatically taken to the next stage, keeping their damage percentage as they go.

All All-Star Matches last four minutes and give the player two lives. High scores are shown by how long it took the player to defeat all characters.

Matches

In Brawl

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, these matches reappear under the name 'All-Star Battle', acting as a Multi-Man Brawl. Unlike Melee's All-Star Matches, the opponents faced are grouped by their first playable appearance in the Super Smash Bros. games and are battled on one stage. The player has to battle two opponents, and there will be a short delay for another one to appear. These matches do not have a limited amount of time for the player to complete them.

Battles

In Smash Wii U

All-Star battles in Smash Wii U are identical to their Brawl counterparts. This time, items do not appear, non Smash Bros. universe stages featured are in their Ω forms, and opponents appear to be lighter.
