Wizzrobe is a Florida smasher who is often renowned for his prowess with Project M's Sonic, as he is considered the best main for the character in the world. He is also among the best Smash 64 Yoshi players and a top professional Melee Captain Falcon player, having taken sets off of top players in all three games.
He was trained by fellow Yoshi player and Florida smasher SheerMadness in Smash 64.
Tournament history
Wizzrobe's first impact in a Project M tournament was at Zenith 2013, which he won without dropping a single set (and only dropping one game to Hungrybox in grand finals), defeating top players such as Hungrybox, Mew2King, and Unknown522 by noticeable margins. Because of this, he is often credited for the subsequent nerfing of Sonic in the later versions of Project M.
He later attended Apex 2014 and placed 5th in Smash 64 singles, defeating Kefit and Firo in his round 2 pool before losing to SuPeRbOoMfAn in winners' finals of the pool, and then making it out from losers' side by defeating Star King. He then defeated JaimeHR 3-2 in losers' top 7 before losing to Mariguas 1-3 in losers' quarters.
At CEO 2014, Wizzrobe placed 2nd in Project M singles, defeating ESAM 2-0 and Mew2King 2-0 to make it to winners' finals against ZeRo, where he lost 1-3. After defeating Mew2King 3-2 in losers' finals, he won the first set of grand finals 3-0 against ZeRo, but lost the second set 1-3. He also won Project M doubles with Plup, defeating Mew2King and ZeRo 3-1 in both winners' finals and grand finals, and placed 5th in Melee singles, notably defeating Colbol 2-1 in losers' top 8.
Wizzrobe then made another Melee impact at Zenith 2014, where he placed 5th in Melee singles, upsetting Axe 2-1 in winners' quarters before losing to Hax 1-3 in winners' semis and then to Zhu 0-2 in losers' quarters. He also placed 3rd in Smash 64 singles, defeating The Z 3-2 in winners' semis before losing to SuPeRbOoMfAn 0-3 in winners' finals and then to KeroKeroppi 1-3 in losers' finals. However, he did not perform as well in Project M singles, where he was defeated by Junebug 1-2 in winners' quarters and Frozen 1-2 in losers' bracket, placing 9th.
One month later at Tipped Off 10, Wizzrobe won Project M singles, defeating Mew2King in winners' finals and Master Raven in grand finals, and Project M doubles with Plup, defeating Mew2King and Hungrybox in winners' finals and ESAM and MVD in grand finals, albeit losing the first set of grand finals. He also placed 4th in Melee singles, where after losing to Axe 1-2 in winners' quarters, he made a run through losers' bracket, taking out Twitch 2-0, Gahtzu 2-0, and Plup 3-2 before losing to Colbol 0-3 in losers' semis.
