The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Forums: Index Watercooler New administrator

The founder of this wiki, Alexir55, has been inactive for several months now. I was wondering:

1. Do we need a new administrator?

2. If so, who should it be?

I would be willing to do it, and will ask a member of Wikia staff if I don't get a response within the next few days. Dtm142 02:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

No I'm still here and I'm going to start doing more things!!!! Alexir55 6:50, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

You are? I thought you abandoned this wiki months ago. There are some vandals that need blocking. Dtm142 19:30, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

I like to know people in high places, so hi alexir55, I'm Austin! PeetzaLink 19:32, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I'm Ryan And I like the Wikia, maybe we can have people... umm what is the rank above the average member, but below administrator, if there is such a thing? If there is such a thing, then maybe some members can be at that rank, (below administrator but still help out) and that way, when your not available (and even when you are), these people are there to help. Now I really don't want that rank, I mean, I really couldn't handle it. Too much work and responsibility, but some other trusty and hardworking members could help. Well, in the game, I got the Big Boss Sticker, with a plus 30 bonus in trophy stand drops. I also got a plus 9 for trophy stand drops. Well see ya. Learner3 15:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

There are no "ranks". Administrators are just like normal users, the only thing they can do that normal users can't is block users, protect pages, and delete pages. That's it. Being an administrator isn't that special; its not a big deal.--Richard 15:37, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

No, what I was saying was that a few select people will be able to do tasks simular to what the administrator can do. This could lessen the work that he himself must do. And for times that he can't be here, if he got back, then all that stuff he normally does would pile up, so if we had helpers, they can get some of the work to lessen the pile. I mean, I just wanted to post an idea to help him, and the site. Learner3 16:23, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

This thread is old, the issue was dealt with long ago. And I believe that the access level (not rank) you're looking for would be the rollback flag. Dtm142 01:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

I would love to become an admin. I go on the Smash wiki almost evryday. I made major edits on some sse levels, I'm very aware avout vandalism, useless pictures and needed pictures. I'm also perfectionist about the look and content of the articles. I might be the administrator you're looking for.

If you want to register me as an admin, tell me in my talk page.--Mr Alex (talk) 21:49, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
