Apex 2015 is the upcoming sixth tournament in the Apex series of tournaments, directed by Alex Strife along with the rest of Team Apex, and held from January 30th-February 1st, 2015, in at the Clarion Hotel Empire Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey. Like previous tournaments of the series, Apex 2015 will host a variety of fighting games, including singles and doubles events for Super Smash Bros. 64, Melee, Brawl, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The tournament is set to be the largest Melee tournament of all time, with over 1024 unique entrants (breaking the previous record of 970 entrants set by EVO 2014), and the largest Smash 4 tournament of all time, with over 800 unique entrants.

Apex 2015 is officially partnered with Nintendo of America[1], although the details of this partnership have not yet been revealed. One apparent result of the partnership is that Project M is absent from Apex this year. Despite attracting nearly 400 entrants in the previous year's Apex, the fan-made mod Project M was removed from the game lineup, possibly due to Nintendo's role in hosting the tournament. This has drawn widespread criticism from the community.
